Hora Stars Ltd (“HORA” “we,” “us,” or “our”) invites you (the “user”) to access and use our website located at horastars.com (the “Website”) and our mobile application (the “App” or the “Service”), which is accessible through tablets, smart phones, and other devices, subject to the following Terms of Service (the “Terms of Service”).
HORA values your privacy and the protection of your personal data. This privacy policy describes what information we collect from you, how we collect it, how we use it, how we obtain your consent, how long we keep it in our databases and, if necessary, with whom we share it.
The personal data in this Privacy Policy refer to the data that are collected and processed through the following platforms:
- HORA mobile application (Available on Google Play and App Store).
- HORA website (https://horastars.com)
By using the platform, you are accepting the practices described in this privacy policy. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THE TERMS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY, PLEASE DO NOT ACCESS THIS APPLICATION.
This privacy policy may change from time to time. Your continued use of the platform after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check the policy periodically for updates.
This privacy policy has been developed and is maintained in accordance with all applicable national and international privacy and data protection laws and regulations and specifically, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the Data Protection Act 2018 (UK regulations) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR – European regulations).
2. HOW WE OBTAIN YOUR CONSENT
By using the HORA platform and its functionalities, you give your express consent for the collection, use, processing and storage of your personal information in accordance with the terms set out in this Privacy Policy. - Downloading and installing the HORA mobile application from Google Play or the App Store, which involves the processing of information necessary for the installation and use of the application.
- Use the functionalities available on the platform, including the generation of the birth chart, the consultation of transits, the analysis of links and the reception of cosmic warnings, which requires the processing of personal data to provide personalised information.
- Purchase a monthly subscription plan through Google Play or the App Store, which involves the collection of billing and transaction data through external payment providers.
- Subscribing to our newsletter, which allows us to send you updates, recommendations and content related to the HORA platform via the email address provided.
- Communicating with us via the available contact details, which involves the processing of the information provided to manage queries, requests and provide assistance.
The legal basis for obtaining consent is based on:
- Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union, which establishes that the processing of personal data is lawful when the interested party has given their consent for one or more specific purposes.
- Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR, when the processing of the data is necessary for the execution of an agreement or for the provision of services requested by the user.
- UK Data Protection Act 2018, which incorporates and adapts the GDPR into British legislation, establishing equivalent standards in terms of consent and data subject rights.
The user has the right to withdraw their consent at any time, without affecting the legality of the processing based on the consent given prior to withdrawal. To exercise this right, the user can adjust their preferences in their account settings, unsubscribe from promotional emails or contact us using the details provided in this policy.
3. TYPES OF DATA COLLECTED
HORA collects and processes different types of personal data depending on the user’s interaction with the platform. The categories of data that may be collected when using HORA’s services are detailed below:
3.1. Personal Data. When registering on the platform, the user provides personal information to create a personal profiles. This data may include, but is not limited to:
- Name and Surname.
- Email address.
- Date and time of birth.
- Place of birth including Country, State and City.
- User profile settings in the application.
3.2 Location Information: Our Services may access and utilize your location data (such as GPS from your mobile device) solely for purposes related to the user’s time zone or general geographic area. This allows us to enable specific features, such as sending push notifications at local times. The user’s location data will be used exclusively for internal purposes.
3.3. Payment Data: When the user purchases a monthly subscription through Google Play or the App Store, HORA may collect information relating to the transaction, including:
- Partial information on the payment method used (without storing full credit or debit card details).
- Transaction identifiers provided by the payment platforms.
- Purchase confirmation and subscription status.
All payment information is processed by authorised third parties (Google Play and App Store), and HORA does not directly store the user’s full payment details.
3.4. Usage and Analytical Data. To improve the user experience and optimise the services offered, HORA collects usage and analytical data on user behaviour on the platform. This information may include:
- Queries made on the platform (such as the generation of the birth chart, astrological transits, links and cosmic warnings).
- Pages visited and time spent on each one.
- Frequency and duration of use of the application.
- Interactions with notifications.
This data may be collected through third-party analytics tools.
3.5. Automatically Collected Data: When visiting the website or using the mobile application, HORA may automatically collect certain technical information, including:
- IP address and approximate geolocation data.
- Browser type and language settings.
- Operating system and device model.
- Information about the network and internet service provider.

4. HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR DATA
Personal data provided by users through the platform will be retained for the time necessary to fulfil the legitimate purposes described in section 5 of this policy and/or until the user stops using the platform, uninstalls the app or requests the deletion of their data. HORA may retain personal data for a longer period provided that the user has given consent to such processing, as long as such consent is not withdrawn. In addition, HORA may be obliged to retain personal data for a longer period if required to do so in order to comply with a legal obligation or by order of an authority. Once the retention period has expired, the personal data will be deleted. Therefore, the right of access, the right of deletion, the right of rectification and the right of data portability cannot be asserted after the retention period has expired.
5. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
HORA collects and processes user data in order to offer its services efficiently, improve the user experience and guarantee the correct functioning of the platform. The specific purposes for each type of information collected are detailed below:
5.1. Personal Data is collected to:
- Create and manage the user’s account on the platform.
- To allow access to the platform’s functionalities, including the generation of the birth chart, transits, and synastry
- To personalise the user experience by providing information based on the date, time and place of birth.
- Communicate with the user to send notifications related to the service, relevant information and technical assistance.
5.2. Payment Data is collected to:
- Process and manage the purchase of subscriptions through Google Play and the App Store.
- Verify and confirm transactions related to the user’s subscription.
- Manage billing and detect possible fraud or unauthorised activities.
- Facilitate the resolution of disputes or refunds where appropriate.
5.3. Usage Data is collected to:
- Understand how users interact with the platform and its functionalities.
- Improve the user experience by optimising the navigation, usability and accessibility of the service.
- Identify trends and usage patterns to develop new features and improve existing ones.
- Solve technical problems and guarantee the proper functioning of the application.
5.4. Automatically Collected Data is used to:
- Guarantee the security and stability of the platform by detecting unauthorised access or suspicious activity.

6. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION
The personal information of our customers and users is an important and fundamental part of our platform. Under no circumstances will we sell or share information with third parties that has not been previously authorised by the user or owner of the personal data. We share user information only and exclusively as described below.
When you utilize the service, your birth chart information is sent to a 3rd party API to receive a customized response, but not stored in any database or server. HORA only transmit the necessary data to determine the positions of planets for the birth chart, transits and synastry features.
Your name and email are stored in/on our database (alongside any unsubscribe request to keep you opted-out if you choose to opt-out) and a database that we control and secure.
Third-Party Service Providers. We use third-party services to perform certain functions on our platform. Some of these functions and services include: hosting the mobile application in the application stores (App Store and Google Play), hosting the website, processing payments (App Store and Google Play), data storage services, displaying advertisements on the platform (Google AdSense), sending emails, and performing tracking and analysis functions on the platform (Google Analytics).
These third-party services and tools may have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, but may not use that information for other purposes. Information shared with these third-party services will be treated and stored in accordance with their respective privacy policies and our privacy policy.
Google Analytics: HORA uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to collect information about users’ interaction with the application and to optimise its functioning. Google Analytics collects data about user behaviour, such as pages visited, bounce rates, session duration, and browsing patterns. If it is activated, it can also collect demographic information, such as age, gender and interests, as well as data on the type of device used and the approximate location of the user, with city-level accuracy.
This data is collected using cookies and similar technologies for the purpose of analysing trends, improving the user experience, and evaluating the performance of the application. The collection and processing of this information is managed directly by Google in accordance with its own terms and conditions.
The user can choose to deactivate Google Analytics at any time through the configuration of their device or by using the exclusion tools provided by Google. Notifications and communications: HORA can send automatic notifications through the website and the application, and communications by email to keep users informed about updates, activities, and other relevant aspects of the platform. For this purpose, users’ contact details, such as their email address, may be shared with third-party services specialising in sending automatic notifications and emails.
Users have the option of managing notifications through their user account settings, where they can enable or disable notifications according to their preferences. In the case of emails, they can also choose not to receive additional communications by using the “unsubscribe” option available in certain emails.
HORA undertakes to use contact details only for purposes related to the activities of the platform and to ensure that any third-party services managing such communications comply with applicable data protection and confidentiality regulations. Users can contact HORA if they need additional help managing their notification or communication preferences.
Business Transfers. In the event that HORA creates, merges with, or is acquired by another entity, your information will most likely be transferred. HORA will email you or place a prominent notice on our platform before your information becomes subject to another privacy policy.
Protection of HORA and others. We release personal information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce or apply our Terms and conditions and other agreements, or protect the rights, property, or safety of HORA, our users or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
With Your Consent. Other than as set out above, you will receive notice when personally identifiable information about you might go to third parties, and you will have an opportunity to choose not to share the information.
7. PROTECTING YOUR INFORMATION
We grant access to your personal information only to those outside persons or services that have a legitimate need to know it and in accordance with our privacy policy. We adhere to industry-recognised security standards to protect your personal information, both during transmission and in storage. However, it is important to note that no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is foolproof and 100% secure. Therefore, while we at HORA strive to implement commercially viable data protection methods, we cannot ensure absolute security of your personal information. In the event of a security breach that compromises the confidentiality of our users’ personal data, HORA undertakes to notify those affected in a timely manner. This notification will be made through the means of contact that have been provided by the user on our platform. We will take all reasonable measures to protect the information and remedy any situation that compromises the security of your data.
9. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFER
HORA may transfer users’ personal data outside the UK or their country of origin due to the use of hosting, storage and processing services provided by third parties who operate servers located in different countries. These transfers are necessary to ensure the continued operation of the platform and to provide an efficient user experience. Although HORA is based in the United Kingdom, the technological infrastructure used may involve data being stored or processed in jurisdictions with data protection laws that differ from those of the United Kingdom or your home country.

10. YOUR RIGHTS
10.1 Your Data Protection Rights Under General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018 (UK regulations)
If you are a resident of the European Union (EU) and European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain data protection rights, covered by GDPR including the right to access, rectify, download or delete their information, as well as to restrict and object to certain processing of their information. This also applies to the UK through the Data Protection Act 2018. While some of these rights apply generally, others apply only in certain limited circumstances. We describe these rights below:
- Access and portability: to access and know what information is stored in our servers, you can send us your request through our contact information.
- Rectify, Restrict, Limit and/or Delete: You can also rectify, restrict, limit or delete much of your information.
- Right to be informed: Users of our platform will be informed, upon request, about what data we collect, how it is used, how long it is retained and whether it is shared with third parties.
- Object: When we process your information based on our legitimate interests as explained above, or in the public interest, you may object to this processing in certain circumstances. In such cases, we will stop processing your information unless we have compelling legitimate reasons to continue processing it or where it is necessary for legal reasons.

The CCPA provides consumers (California residents) with specific rights regarding their Personal Information. This section describes your CCPA rights and explains how to exercise those rights. Subject to certain exceptions, consumers have the right to make the following requests:
Right to Know/Access. You have the right to request (up to twice per year subject to certain exemptions), free of charge, that we disclose information about our collection and use of your Personal Information, including:
- The categories of Personal Information we collected about you;
- The categories of sources from which the Personal Information is collected;
- The business or commercial purpose for collecting that Personal Information;
- The categories of third parties with whom we disclose Personal Information; and
- The specific pieces of Personal Information we have collected.
Right to Correct. Subject to certain conditions and exceptions, you have the right to request that we correct inaccuracies in your Personal Information.
Right to Delete. Subject to certain conditions and exceptions, you have the right to request that we delete your Personal Information. Once we receive and confirm your request, we will delete (and direct our service providers to delete) your Personal Information from our records, unless an exception applies.
Right to Limit Use and Disclosure. We do not engage in uses or disclosures of “sensitive personal information” that would trigger the Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information under the CCPA.
Right to Non-Discrimination. We will not discriminate against you in terms of price or service level for exercising any of the rights described in this section.

11. CHILDREN ONLINE PRIVACY PROTECTION
We comply with the requirements of national and international data protection regulations regarding the protection of personal data of minors. We do not collect any information from children under the age of 13 (minimum age allowed to collect and process information without parental or legal guardian consent). If we become aware that a child under the age of 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.
12. THIRD PARTIES
Except as otherwise expressly included in this privacy policy, this document addresses only the use and disclosure of information that HORA collects from you. If you disclose your information to third parties, whether other users or third parties, different rules may apply to their use or disclosure of the information you disclose to them. HORA does not control the privacy policies of third parties, and you are subject to the privacy policies of those third parties where applicable. HORA is not responsible for the privacy or security practices of other websites, platforms or services, including those linked from our platform. Please review the privacy policies of any third-party websites, platforms or services you access through the HORA platform.
13. CHANGES TO PROVACY POLICY
We reserve the right to change our privacy policy at any time. Changes will be promptly notified to our users through any electronic means and posted on the platform. Your continued use of our platform following such changes will signify your acceptance of the changes.
